In his post-doctoral work, Dr. Shun Xu mainly developed the Generalized Canonical Ensemble (GCE) simulation method, which is applied to complex physical systems with phase transition and metastability. In order to enhance sampling of molecular simulation, many spatial walking methods of GCE bias parameters were proposed, and the combination with replica exchange simulation method was also realized. The related algorithms had been verified by Monte Carlo simulation on statistical models such as Potts model, and had been designed and implemented in LAMMPS software package.
